Kavza or Havza (Grk: Κάβζα ή Χάβζα) is ancient Kavissos or Kavassos (Καβησσός ή Καβασσός), a town of Pontus situated 80km south-west of Samsunta (today Samsun). Prior to WWI it was home to 4000 people, of which 500 were Greeks and 150 Armenians. Most of the Greeks and Armenians perished during the genocide.
